Life After Lockdown
A session to help you manage feelings and changes as the restrictions ease. We know that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all in different ways, and we have had to deal with lots of changes along the way. The government have set out a roadmap for easing restrictions and allowing some normality to return to us all.
Some people might feel excited and pleased about these changes, but a lot of people will not be feeling like this. As we enter these new stages, it is really common to be feeling a wide range of emotions like anxiety, worry, panic or feeling exhausted and fed up with it all.
What is it?
This session will help you understand common emotional responses to life after lockdown, and help you learn some techniques for dealing with anxiety and worry and calming down your body. We will look at some general tips to help you manage your wellbeing and get back into your usual activities. We will also cover some tips on returning to socialising and going back into the workplace.
What can I expect from these sessions?
The session will be delivered online by two Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners using Microsoft Teams, they will go through a Powerpoint presentation, and have their video turned on. We generally ask participants to have their cameras and microphones off to help protect the bandwith and prevent distracting noises.
The session will involve some opportunities for reflection using generic case studies or open questions. The session is mainly didactic (lecture) style, so no one will put you on the spot or ask you to share anything personal. You can ask questions at anytime via the text chat function and there will be an opportunity at the end to ask any further questions.
